Full Version: Aspect Ratio setting altered?

Hi there

I have been using Hybrid only for the purpose of deinterlacing my videos. Since installing the latest version it is now altering the aspect ratios from 4:3 to widescreen of every video I try to deinterlace, even though I have never made any changes to the aspect ratio settings.

How can I fix this?
you have to manually set the aspect you want.

for example i'm deinteralcing PAL videos and i need to place on CROP/RESIZE --> BASE --> Pixel aspect ratio (PAR)   as a input par : 16 x 15
Hybrid reads the PAR using MediaInfo, if MediaInfo does not provide a PAR, 1:1 is assumed.
If your source isn't properly flagged, you can/should let Hybrid know the proper PAR under 'Crop/Resize->Base->Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR)->Input PAR'
see: [INFO] About pixel aspect ratios,.. for typical PAR values

If you want to convert to another PAR while maintaining the proportions, you need to enable 'Crop/Resize->Base->Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR)->Convert output to PAR' and set the wanted 'Output PAR'.

Important, be sure you understand the difference between display and pixel aspect ratio. (Hybrid uses pixel aspect ratio, not display aspect ratio.)

Ps.: For the future: read the sticky and provide proper details like mentioned in the sticky, especially the debug output is important.
Discovered the problem and fixed it. Under Crop/Resize Pixel Aspect Ratio (PAR), Input PAR had an AR amount in there which should have been 1:1 but was a different amount (which I forget). I clicked in front of Force Input PAR type, and the setting was returned to 1:1.
I have never used any of these PAR settings before, so I don't know how they changed. However, I am now going to save these new settings for next time!
My problem hasn't been fixed at all. When I deinterlace all my videos are being stretched slightly. None of the MediaInfo files have any mention of PAR either.

I am adding here the HybridDebugOutput file in the hope you can tell me where I am going wrong?[attachment=3176]
Is the input PAR properly set?
If not you need to properly set it,..
According to the debug output, Hybrid does use a 1000:975 PAR.
Since the debug output does not contain the analysis of the source, but starts with the job creation.
I can't tell where the decision was made that this is the correct PAR.
So my guess is that either the source isn't flagged properly, or you enforced 1.0256 manually. (this isn't a common PAR, see:https://forum.selur.net/thread-597.html)
