Full Version: Hybrid not always retaining all of my settings

I am running the July dev version and have encountered recurring difficulties of late with Hybrid not retaining or keeping my checked filters for jobs that I'm processing. For example, when I select one of my profiles or custom filters from the dropdown and click "Apply the currently selected configuration", Hybrid brings me to the ProRes or Crop/Resize tabs. This is fine, but my previously checked filters within different tabs in VapourSynth go away when I return to them during the same job. Hybrid remembers frequently selected filters I've done from other jobs but it's inconsistent. When I go to the filter order queue, some of those will stand out in bold but others I've selected prior to that will not. So I often have to review every tab and subtab to ensure particular filters I want will in fact be executed. Eventually, I can get each filter re-selected but it's a lot of rigamarole.

In ProRes, I have saved settings under Configuration for my DVD and LaserDisc projects and select those when the format and job calls for it. I re-save and replace config settings when I modify them to my liking.

Could there be any bugs in this version that's preventing Hybrid from remembering all of the filters I initially select? Should I install the latest dev version?

If I do that, I'm wary about uninstalling the July edition because I don't want to lose my profiles and custom filters. Could I just install the latest and will it supplant the earlier version? What should be my install procedure?
Yes, simply installing the latest dev over that version should work.
If filters are not properly highlighted in the filter queue, press the 'Refresh'-button (not 'Reset').

If settings do not get saved, share details so I can try to reproduce it here.

Thanks so much! I downloaded latest dev version and it seems to be functioning a lot better.  Smile

In VapourSynth under Artifacts, I now notice RemoveDirt and RemoveDirtMC. Did you add those filters relatively recently? Because I didn't really spot them in the prior version. Also, I saw your post about enabling Merge with RemoveDirtMC so one can better control it and so it doesn't operate too strongly on the image. I tweaked a few settings after I saw your screenshot in IMGbb. I think this filter can be highly effective for older films as long as I don't put it in overkill.
These filters we're added two years ago,.. Angel
