This is 2nd verified time this has happened, but I needed to encode a large video file. Cleared 200gigs worth of space on my hard drive, attempted but was still not enough (error/was told not enough space). I closed the app, and my hard drive now reads as 89 Gb's from the prior 200+gb attempt. I imagine something was rendered and taking up space, so I open up the app again, clear the job, close the app and restart my computer. But NOPE! still reading under as 89gb.
WHERE did my other 100 gb's go? I used ccleaner, and nothing. Where is the incomplete video file being stored so i can delete it? Like I said, this is the second verified time (god knows how much space on my hard drive this app is wasting on botched video renders) I've noticed this. This thing is poorly optimized. And no, there is no mistake, I didn't download anything during the encode or mis-read how much data I had prior.
Plain Hybrid on Windows is ~6.45GB extracted on Windows.
(smaller on Linux and MacOS, since there are less tools and no Avisynth support)
Adding (all) add-ons, you can get up to 60GB.
Not sure what you are doing and you didn't share enough details to even guess what you are doing.

The software was already installed (NO ADD-ON's)>Had 200+gb's on hard drive prior to render>Tried rendering large file, but didn't have enough space so I got an error (no video file)>Aborted/cleared job/Restarted computer/No video file was created nor on my desktop yet now I only have 89gb's left on my computer. from 200gb's to 89gb's AFTER using the software. With no video file to show for it <--- I am aware I am repeating myself.
I did not download anything during the render which took about an hour. I am missing over 100gb's of space. It would take me over 3 hours to download 100gb's of data on my internet connection. I imagine this software renders the file once, then copies it again, so if actual file is 120 gb's, I need 240gb's for entire process.
Where is the 1st copy being saved on my computer so I can delete it and get back my space. The job failed, I do not have any completed video file from task.
Like I wrote: Hybrid itself should never be that large.
Not knowing what you did I would:
1. check what the temp folder was (Config->Paths)
2. clear that folder
3. deinstall Hybrid (afterwards, make sure the installation folder was deleted)
If you are still 'missing' space on you hdd use something like
https://windirstat.net/ which gives you a nice navigatable visualization of where the space on your drive is used on.

Bro... I am not saying your app Hybrid took up 100 gigs to install. Is english your second language?
I tried rendering a huge video but it failed (no video was rendered) yet I now have less than 100gb's less of space prior to render, from the 200gb's I had on my computer.
And I already uninstalled it, I now have to re-install to see where it placed temp files.

Hybrid isn't 100GB in size before it is fed to the installer, so something is fishy.
1. did you download Hybrid from the official download site (

2. does the sha256 hash of your download match the one on the official download site?

Exactly. After using, not installing. So why are you confused?
And that last sentence is what I needed to know. Why are you allowing huge temp files to remain untouched if it crashes. It should automatically delete as well, ESPECIALLY if I clear/delete the job.
I'm going to try and find it now, but why do I get the feeling that's not gonna be easy either.
No, if a crash occured it might have tons of reasons and if you i.e. filter&compress on a source a few days and got a crash during the muxing, you would complain if Hybrid deleted all the work and you would have to undo it.
Config->Paths shows where the temp folder is (on first start the one the os reports as default tmp for the user) and like I mentioned a tool like WinDirStat could also help.

I found it, it was 115 gb's. I had alil over 200gbs. So I needed 230gb's. That's why it crashed/created an error. Once the user clears/cancels the job/task, then it should also automatically delete the temp file. I'm not talking about the initial crash, but when the user decides to CANCEL the task entirely from the "jobs". It's too much trouble having to try to find the file. But thank you regardless. Sorry for the haste attitude, but I was annoyed.
If you right click on a job, there is an option to clear the temp folder, but unless it's a dedicated folder for that job, that can be dangerous to use.
Problem is, that unless 'Create sub-folder per job in temp path *experimental*' is used, there could be tons of other stuff in that folder.
Also there are option to automatically delete finished/crashed jobs.
=> atm. the default is to keep temp files on crashes&co, since it's better to have to clean up manually than having to loose hours/days/... of work.
