Hi,

I have a video with 2 tracks, & I'd like to know if it's possible to encode only 1 track & not all.

Here fe I'd like to encode the 2nd track :
- Base tab : I loaded the video, chose "video = passthrough", "audio = custom"
- Audio tab : I chose "track = 2-eng", "audio encoding options : audio format = ac3" --> "+" to add in the audio queue
   then "track = 1-fr", & "audio encoding options" disable

--> I can't add the track in the audio queue Sad

where is my mistake ?

regards

EDIT : audio --> misc --> enable "add passthrough for reencode" ???
& restart Hybrid ???

No clue whats hindering to add the second track, works fine here.
Tried the following:
  1. Started Hybrid
  2. Loaded a file with multiple audio streams
  3. Set 'Base->Processing->Video' to 'passthrough'
  4. Set 'Base->Processing->Audio' to 'custom'
  5. Set 'Audio->Base->Audio Source->Track' to '2- en'
  6. Enabled 'Audio->Base->Audio Encoding'
  7. Set 'Audio->Base->Audio Encoding->Encoder' to ac3
  8. Added the audio setting to the audio queue by pressing 'Audio->Base->Add current'
  9. Set 'Audio->Base->Audio Source->Track' to '1- de'
  10. Disabled 'Audio->Base->Audio Encoding'
  11. Added the audio setting to the audio queue by pressing 'Audio->Base->Add current'
No problem here.

-> No clue what you are doing wrong.

hi,

what I did wrong was inverse 9 & 10 Rolleyes

so the rule is : "1st select the track, the select to encode or not, then add to the audio queue" Blush

regards
You should always:
  • Select the audio track you want to configure.
  • Set the settings you want for that track.
  • Add the configuration for that track to the audio queue.
Any other order might not result in what you want. Other orders can make sense depending on your settings, but in general stick with that order.

That wouldn't cause any problem, since the settings on which the audio queue entry would be created would be the same.
-> you messed something else up
