Hybrid H.264 "Preset" and "Tune" settings aren't being added to command line
#1
I am currently using Hybrid 2021.12.12.1 on Mac OSX. When I try setting the H.264 "Preset" to a slower setting such as very slow or placebo or change the "Tune" setting to Film or Grain, the command line is stuck at "preset=very fast" and there is no mention of the "Tune" settings. At first I thought this was just a visual glitch, but upon two different encodes set to "very fast" and "placebo," the render time took the same amount of time (which was way too fast for placebo) and the quality of the video was not great. Changes to Tune were also not noticeable.

I'm not sure if something is wrong with the software itself or if there was a setting I may have selected that is causing the "preset" and "tune" parameters to not engage. I figured I should point out that I am using the "Bluray/AVCHD" hardware setting for the encoding. I have been mainly sticking to FFMPEG, but I'd like to switch to Hybrid since working with a GUI as opposed to a command line is way less tedious.

tune options will not be shown in the command line through '--tune XY' they just modify settings.
About presets and their speeds: can't comment since you didn't share the aproprite infos to reproduce the issue. (see sticky)
Side note:
a. make sure not to just select a preset but also apply it.
b. if the command lines are okay, I see no issue in Hybrid.

Oh dear lord this is embarrassing... Sad

Somehow in my ever fleeting brain-cell count, I didn't realize the arrows next to the preset and tune were actual buttons to apply the settings. HA! Thanks for pointing that out. Problem solved.
