I read that is better to do masking edges, not cropping, but I think this is what Hybrid does, crops noise on the edges and adds borders = same effect.

No clue what 'masking edges' means. You the black bars cropped your be added back through the letterboxing.

Yes, I would use the whole height otherwise you would have black borders at the top and bottom too,...

But why needed to do/adjust this manually, every time changing PAR, Cropping values?
