Hybrid validates the number of allowed reference, buffers, etc. that are allowed per level,profile,tier combination to make sure only valid level can be used. x264 and x265 only partially do this, they only show warnings if a violation occurs, but create non-compliant content.

x264 is supported and works < 6.0 6.1 6.2

x265 is supported and works < 8.5

The question was whether x264&x265 support those levels, not whether the lower profiles are supported, that I know.

Most likely "Hybrid" uses the old x264/265 library and therefore does not show "basic" levels

and therefore different errors when using 10-bit 422
