Vapoursynth uses the same deinterlacers on both sides. That is what my previous post said.
You can verify this, by open a Vapoursynth Preview window and while it's open look into your temp folder (Config->Paths) and open the tempPreviewVapoursynthFile.....vpy in a text editor.
