Hello,

Thanks for the information.  I have now ripped the DVD with a different tool and It does now show up as telecine (soft) when loaded into Hybrid.

As for your comment  "d. I can't remember to have removed any TIVTC setting in the last 10 years or so, so I doubt that a setting got removed."

I believe you.  I just couldn't find it which is my fault.

I have attached two screen captures showing how Hybrid detects this new file, and what the filter tab looks like.  

I have also posted the actual file  to my dropbox location as it is too large to upload.  The original file which is .VOB format and the output of Hybrid encoding in H.265 but still has AV sync issue.
