Fantastisch!!!!

hahaha you’re doing great sir!!!

Now if you go to system prefs, mojave is gonna want to update to catalina, you dont need to do that. You could get the last mojave revision by looking for Latest mojave combo Updater (again not really needed). But if you want to stay on mojave and not one day find yourself on catalina just yet, you can turn off system auto update.
Catalina works great though, but mojave is fine too.

In the app store should be xcode tools if you need that, i have no clue if you do.

Another thing: How do I use a higher resolution?
Atm. it seems to be using 1024x768.

Cu Selur

open up terminal app

enter this command

sudo /Library/Application\ Support/VMware\ Tools/vmware-resolutionSet 1080 1920

where the two numbers are the resolution you want

Tip. Keep this code pasted to a stickie or a note pad on the mac vm because every once inawhile the vm likes to default back to the old resolution.

Nice, I'll try that once the update is finished and report back. Smile

Probably won't get around to get a build environment set up today, but I'll look into that during the week and will post some infos in this thread from time to time. Smile

selur,

i have to say you are Very very awesome. Not many people would have gone through what you did, just so you help our small community mac users (compared to people who have pcs).

so thank you you have my deepest thanks.

No worries,
I am glad it worked out.

Between you and meatwad

Things are def looking up.

Also you can edit the vm config file with a mac model number so when you get info it can display thats the model your using,
Just need to pick the mac model you want and find a serial for it. There is an app that does it i need to look for it

This is not entirely necessary, but cool.

Hmm,... update rebooted and now only shows a back screen,... the last few minutes
-> I turned the vm off and back on and it started without a problem and now shows Version 10.14.6
Changing the resolution worked, but I had to use '1920 1080' not '1080 1920'. Wink
But I just noticed the VMware Tools Info shows: VMware Tools installed, but the version is too old. -> now looking at the vm ware tool link
