Vapoursynth and VIVTC-QTGMC Option?
#1
Ok - So, in AviSynth mode for an interlaced source like older NTSC DVD, I can select Avisynth/VIVTC for decimating to 23.976 fps, and under this select the Deinterlacer as QTGMC. I tried this and it really works well, giving a beautiful result.

However, I notice this is not an option under Vapoursynth. If I select QTGMC (Vapoursynth) as deinterlacer, there is no option for adding decimation as a second step, such as VIVTC.

Yet under the VIVTC (Vapoursynth) there is not the option to specify the deinterlacer with the option to change it to QTGMC like there is with your Avisynth module.

How do I use QTGMC (Vapoursynth) and then decimate? Is this really not an option with VIVTC in Vapoursynth in side Hybrid?

Please advise when you have a moment. Thank you.

Respectfully,

Garo

Ah, I see:  The version here is 2020.10.11.1,  I am using 2020.08.02.1.  The version from August doesn't have the option.

For this update can I just install over the top of the 2020.08.02.1 version?  Or is there perhaps an update button?

Thank you!

NOTE:  Well, I installed onto the same folder, updating the previous version, and it seems to have worked fine!

You may also need to Reset Defaults in Config tab or simply delete folder ~/Library/Application Support/Hybrid (or similar on Windows). This may help to avoid conflict between old and new preferences structure.

Ah, thank you! I will note this in case I have any issues.

Normally this is only needed when updating between really old and current versions or when I changed a log around the profiles.
