Assuming you renamed it to Hybrid-521:
a. make sure it's executable:
chmod +x ~/.hybrid-bin/Hybrid-521
c. call it:
~/.hybrid-bin/Hybrid-521

You did use the new version, right?
(you downloaded, extracted, renamed it, changed the rights and starter it correct?)
So you know which Qt version is installed in your system?

Some Qt libraries are installed otherwise Hybrid would 'supeork at all.

I installed qt 5.70, hybrid won't open. Other apps as well. Is debian more stable?

Nope, Ubuntu is a Debian derivate. Big Grin
Also you propably not usw the repository with everyone Debian variant. Djcj might be able to tell you more in that regard.

Hybrid ist just a GUI, so yes that should work.
