Upscaling by x-factor

Took a quick look into the whole crop-, resize-, letterbox-, PAR-calculation in Hybrid and there is no quick/easy way to add a scale by X-factor without rewriting the whole code, which is not going to happen. (not spending a few weeks to rewrite that for a feature, which I don't think is a good approach)
=> I don't plan to add this to Hybrid.

I see, if it is that difficult then no. I wouldn't also ask you for to implement this feature which would be much hard work for one request. I appreciate your effort .
You mentioned writing Vapoursynth code my self. Is it possible to write a Vapoursynth script that automate the process, and then use it inside Hybrid ?
An example for a script (pseudo code):
- open a file
- choose input time - output time
- encode with filter 1
- encode with filter 2
- encode with filter 3
- save to a new file

If it possible that would be very practical. I hope it is possible

No, you can not automate Hybrid through a Vapoursynth script that is used as input or that is part of a custom section.
In theory one could, write a script which creates a Hybrid default profile for each file and then load Hybrid with that profile and the given file and let it encode.
But to be frank, it's probably easier to write a script which does the stuff you want Hybrid to do instead of trying to misuse Hybrid for stuff that is not meant to do.
The main point of Hybrid and other GUIs is not having to write scripts to automate stuff.
