What are you talking about?
The used filters, rearrangement of filters and applying a Vapoursynth filter multiple* times, is already possible.

* aside from Deinterlacing, Resize, Cropping, Rotation and Letterbox all filters can be added multiple times.

@Miranda: there is hope for a proper DeSpot for Vapoursynth, seems like Myrsloik is thinking about porting it to Vapoursynth. Big Grin

My comment won't be of much use to you, but still. Wobbeling is in fact Time Base errors. You can only solve this with a Timebase corrector. Either a (super) VHS recorder with a built-in Line TBC or an external Line TBC (be careful with a frame buffer TBC, which does not solve these errors either). You have to think like this: After digitizing, every (i) frame is just a photo. No filter can know what your image should look like, more specifically what straight vertical lines should be in your image, they are not that smart (yet). Imagine using a camera to take a photo of a CRT screen on which you are viewing the VHS tape, which is in fact digitizing analog SD video.

I see DeSpot with extra functions has been added to Hybrid under VapourSynth, however it is currently greyed out. Is there a way to use it, or is this a work in progress?

It's disabled atm. since I'm waiting for https://github.com/vapoursynth/despot/ to get a release, but myrsloik is busy atm.
I'll create a dev version where the old despot version is used and send you a link later.
