I'm happy to report the blurring issue has been resolved in the new release.  Thank you very much.

Hello Selur,

I noted that in the last dev Hybrid version, is not more possible to select a movie in the Ref dir/file.
Even if is specified as input for this box a file, the displayed dialog box allows to select only a folder.

Please check.

I think the result with the new version is excellent - it's clear that this software has unlimited possibilities
https://archive.org/details/crvena-zvezd...new-method

I also tried it on an old, worn-out Houdini film
https://archive.org/details/houdini-source
the result is quite good, except that it seems to emphasize the purple color much more than necessary - but overall it did a pretty good job and even corrected some of the bad scenes

thanks again for the excellent work

The Houdini clip is an example of movie that should not be selected for automatic colorization. The problem with this clip is that is damaged, and there is a lot of noise on the luma component. The colorization process is strongly dependent on the luminance.

Recently I changed the HAVC colorization pipeline as described in this post #5  and I have to admit that the DiT models are much less sensitive to the luminance, and they can be used to color also clips with a lot of noise on luma component. It is possible to find an example here: Houdini_color_havc5_qwen-ie.mp4

Currently the hardware requirements for using this new HAVC pipeline are very High, so for the moment I'm not planning to release it, but I hope that in the coming months or years the situation both on HW and SW will improve so much that it will be possible for me to release it in HAVC.
