I've come across some old music videos from the 70s in good audio quality that have a mono audio track, you can hear the vocal and the band, but it is in mono audio (both Left and Right are the same).
Is there a tool out there, perhaps an AI tool that is capable of expanding mono audio to sound like stereo?

I have no clue whether there is anything good, easy to use and free out there.
Okay, simply copying the single stream into both channels is possible with Hybrid (using sox) and tons of other tools (ffmpeg, audacity,...).
https://www.monotostereo.info might be interesting and has tons of links and info about doing spectral analysis/editing in regard to 'mono to stereo'-conversions.
I also remember
https://github.com/facebookresearch/2.5D-Visual-Sound, but never tried it and don't know of any GUI using it.

Thank you Selur for the link. There are some serious audiophiles out there that took high quality mono recorded music from the 1950s and 60s and converted them to stereo, their work is exceptional. Its requires quite a bit of manual work to get these amazing results.
