PAL High8 and DV deinterlacing, cropping and upscaling
#1
I'm new to Hybrid and I have original PAL High8 tapes that were captured with the Canopus advc110 as DV-AVI files. Working on WIN11, with Intel Core i9 14900K, GeForce RTX 4080 Super ProArt 16GB, 96 Gb DDR5 6400MT/s CL32.

What would be the best workflow / filtering in Hybrid to achieve:
- deinterlacing
- changing framerate to 50fps
- perhaps slightly denoise ?
- upscaling to 1080p
- cropping the noisy lines (especially bottom and left/right) OR
- enlarge the frames / zoom in so that the noisy lines are not visible anymore (of course this means that less of the image will be visible, but at least there won't be stretching or black bands)

My output files would be ProRes mov files, since these will be used for further editing etc.

I've tried to research on the internet, but a lot of info was regarding anime source files, which doesn't match my source material. This is a mix of indoor/outdoor, well lit and underexposed stuff, so there is no constant quality.

Finally, since each tape is 90 minutes, I would like to use the processing power of the Intel and/or the GForce as much as possible, so I guess I also need setting to use all cores etc, as much as possible.

Thanks for your wisdom

Sorry, no clue from me. Don't have any useful advice for general content or workflows.

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.
