I suggest default setting not select disable header removal
#1
Since VVC is hard to calculate the output filesize, we could make files created by Hybird are the same as mkvtoolnix first. The default setting now selecting Disable header removel makes file size bigger than mkvtoolnix's files.

I do not see the connection. What has the output file size to do with trying to create the same output as mkvtoolnix.
More important would be to get better 2pass in vvenc and come up with a proper formula for mkv overhead for vvenc.

Side note: I'm not sure VVC encoding, as it is supported atm. in a dev build will be released any time soon.
I might switch to vvencFFapp or use something else.

Correct, this was enabled by default to offer wider compatibility to some standalone hardware players.

Also, how much overhead die to not removing headers, are we talking about here?
