i was using Hybrid for like 2 years to make 50 frames on my hi8 PAL footage with QTGMC with great results. on 07 2024 my capture card broke and i didnt have nothing to convert for a year. i dirty installed newest hybrid 2025.07.21 x64 on windows 10 ltsc 21h2, my settings stayed the same.
my previous version of Hybrid must be the one released before 07.2024
what i noticed that using same settings on same avi source file new results are generally better in any way but dates and timestamps are blurry when you compare to the old converted one. aslo in the old one i can easly see 'lines' near moving areas and new one is trully progresive
using QTGMC (Vapoursynth) with forced top field first, preset VERY SLOW and BOB is checked, under Vapoursynth i have nothing checked, using [for same settings as old one, but exporting it to proRes 422 HQ changes nothing] x265 specific bitrate 2pass with fast 1st pass and targeting to 20000 kbit/s
new one

my testing file: 5.49gb avi recorded via virtualDub in HuffYUV colored in YUV 422
i can provide a link to this file or try to trim it in virtualdub
i even tried to install older hybrid version, tried 2023.12.22.1 and 2023.03.17.1 but result was the same with blurry timestamp
i tried various things and gets nothing
ideally would be to have new better look of everything and datestamp as sharp as on the old one
