The only question now is, Is this the correct placement ("Insert before End") or should it be placed before/after other filters ?

There is no inherently right or wrong placement.
If you crop your source, you should place it behind the crop.
If you use filters like derainbow filters, I would recommend to move the filter before the derainbow filters.
=> as long as it works with the settings you use on your source, there is no wrong placement.
