QSV Encoder crashing with alloc memory
#1
Trying to use Intel Quick Sync Video encoder on my i7-10700K.

I manged to to output both X.264 and HEVC ....just once.

Second time, doing exactly the same with same input file, Hybrid stops with a crash in the encoder:

2025.11.24 - 18:02:40_Windows 10 Version 22H2 (64bit)_2025.11.09.1 - level 9: QSVENC output: allocD3D11: QSVAllocatorD3D11::AllocImpl failed to CreateTexture2D(textures) #0: -2005270523.
allocD3D11: QSVAllocator: Failed Allocate type internal: failed to allocate memory.
INPUT: allocWorkSurfaces:   Failed to allocate frames: failed to allocate memory..
AllocFrames:   Failed to allocate frames for INPUT-MFXENCODE: failed to allocate memory..

I have tried restarting the PC several times with no joy.
Now happens every time.

Debug attached if some one can shed a light on the issue please.

Looks like a driver vs QSVEnc problem.
Try updating your drivers and whether the latest Hybrid dev works.
You can also try whether older QSVEnc versions (https://github.com/rigaya/QSVEnc/releases) work. (Hybrid uses QSVEncC64 renamed to QSVEncC.)

Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.

Thx. Drivers were up to date.
Upgraded to Windows 11, uninstalled & reinstalled Hybrid and still the same problem.

Appears to be hardware fault  Angry
I upgraded the motherboard on this PC this week to i7-10700K.
This was due to the other problem I was having with VSViewer crashing with the latest version of Hybrid for Windows which now works.

There seems to be faulty DRAM's. I replaced them and the problem has gone.
Fingers crossed.

Boy Intel Quick Sync encoder is quick !!

Shame there isn't QSV for the Mac Hybrid.
