Hi there.
I'm using Hybrid 2025.07.27.1 on Windows 11 Pro.
It was working great a few months ago when I had to transcode interlaced huffyuv AVI files to deinterlaced MP4 files. Today, I had to open it up to convert DV AVI files to deinterlaced MP4 files. I changed the bitrate settings for the video from my defaults from last time and... and... I can't find the trasncoded file! Visiting where I wanted to save it, there's no file! They aren't saved where you need admin rights. Tried to run Hybrid as admin but it seems Hybrid forces me to open it in regular user mode.
So, after trying that, I tried re-encoding the same shorter DV .avi which I wanted to use to test my settings before comitting to the hour-long ones (transcode takes around as long as the video itself). And it didn't happen again. The file appeared once it was transcoded. What?
You could say "Well, that ended well. Why post?". Maybe trying to find out what exactly is going on to know what to avoid next time. The only thing that I changed between runs is that I didn't force BFF by unchecking "Overwrite input scan to...". In the current working run, I checked it and forced it to bottom-field first (BFF) since it's DV trasnfered through Firewire with Scenalyzer.
So, yeah, more of a "here's heads up" than anything.
If you need more details, let me know.
P.S No errors showed up in the log part of the video. Just said the job finished succesfully. I couldn't tell you what to do to reproduce the issue. I seriously don't.
