Okay, problem was the Windows C++ runtime had some issues, reinstalling the latest from:
https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/wi...le-version
fixed the problem. (problem could be seen through the event viewer, showing vspipe complaining about the runtime dlls not working)

Thanks again. Hybrid looks slightly different in Windows 11. Is it a re-design or the way Windows 11 interprets it?

The default Qt theme changed on Win 11, you can switch the used Qt theme under Config->View->Style and changing it from 'default' to 'windowsvista' should give the old view back. (personally I would use 'windowsvista' or 'Fusion')
