Sorry, not planning to add xClean and I'm not aware that someone wrote a
custom addition for it.
(Haven't seen any examples of it doing a better job than other denoisers.)

Denoising is always a compromise between blurring and detail preservation.
Even for humans it's not easy to differentiate between artifact, detail, noise.
The reason why most denoisers have tons of settings is to control their strength and somewhat point them to what you want to remove.
You can use different masks (motion, luma, edge,...) with a denoiser to only apply it on a part of the image etc.
You can so sharpen (parts of the image) before and after the denoising.
About that video: At least to me, that is totally useless.
Even at 4k, I can hardly see a difference where I'm sure that the difference wasn't due to the compression done by YouTube.
Have you ever tried xClean?
Can you demonstrate that it actually does a fine job.
Last time I tried it on a source, it didn't impress me and was really slot. (not as slow as BM3D with multiple passes on its own, but still ...)
If you can show me a reproducible example that impresses, I might add xClean to Hybrid.
