E-AC3 again!?

Quote:Yes, but shouldn't i have fixed that by re-encode the track to 16-bit / 48.000 khz then ?
Yes, but the ffmpeg call does not convert to 16bit.

Quote:Also, why does it Sound so DULL and quiet when player decodes it to PCM as output (powerdvd) ?
No, or wrong dynamic range compression.

Cu Selur

Ps.: a small sample of the source would help to reproduce and fix the issue

I might have a fix for your problem, but I need a sample or a debug output which also contains the analysis from the source.
I need a sample of what you feed Hybrid, not a raw extract,...

patch does work with your sample file.
No clue if it will work with the real thing.

exactly, it's not the source, it's a stream you somehow extracted from the source,...

-> will send you a link to a dev verison in ~15min, if that does not fix the problem, I will need a sample of the mkv you feed Hybrid, not some extracted part of a stream.

I can convert that sample to flac 16bit, 24bit and 32bit using my current dev version.

Send you a link to a dev version for testing.
(Hybrid already has such an option, I just needed to tweak a few things,..)

Ps.: going to bed now

Oh realy? I haven't noticed !

thanks and sweet dreams   Cool

Update

have tried the latest release you pm'd me.

And since i don't see / find any option anywhere in hybrid to convert 24bit to 16bit audio signal , i asume hybrid does that automatically depending wich format is used (flac, pcm..etc..)

So i have chosen to re-encode the audio track to *.DTS format, but the output results is still 24bit !?

Guess what, same thing.. as silent as a mute  Undecided ... as loud as an whisper  Big Grin

Thanks for the effort anyway..

I'll try Surrcode... an old commercial DTS encoder i still have got in my backup archives... though , surcode wos intended to be used for DVD standards !!

cheers,
td
