[BUG] Encoder Crash (Helper1, exitCode: -1073741819)
#11
Yeah I'm thinking there's an issue with embedding the subtitle into frame.
Unfortunately subtitle embedding is a required thing for what I'm trying to do.

Here's the results of using the command you asked me to run:

Failing to rasterize glyphs.

Quote:I also noticed that using Vapoursynth the 'Vapoursynth Preview' does not work here and should not work for you either, since the '# Loading Plugins'-section of the script is not loading 'SubText'. (fixed that here, running an encode now)

I'll PM you a quick video of me clicking around with the different preview windows if you're curious. I had previously only clicked the preview button in the subtitle tab, but it appears if I click the preview button while in the Filters tab and have Vapoursynth enabled it won't work. NoXSynth and AviSynth seem to work though (frankly AviSynths preview is clunky though...).

I'm now trying to encode it without embedding the subtitle into frame real quick, but yeah this is sounding like a subtitle problem that I simply don't know what to do about. I wish I didn't need to embed the subs into the frame but softsubs don't work for what I'm trying to do as a web player isn't going to read an included subtitle file.

Cloud be the source of the issue,...
I'll look into that.

Hybrid extracts 'AdobeHeiti-Kami_0.ttf' from the input file into the temp font folder (you can see it's location under Config->Paths->Infos->Font path).
looking at the error:
Selected font is not the requested one: 'AdobeHeitiStd-Regular-Kami' != 'Adobe Heiti Std R-Kami'
The .ass font names wants 'Adobe Heiti Std R-Kami' while fontconfig only finds 'AdobeHeitiStd-Regular-Kami'.
Replacing 'Adobe Heiti Std R-Kami' in the .ass file with 'AdobeHeitiStd-Regular-Kami' fixdoes not fix the sync issue or the crash at 26763 for me.

Uh, interesting result with just including the subtitle file without embedding into frame.
It worked but the subtitles are totally screwed-up and for some reason the video is now 1:33:32 long (though most of it is black).

Lmao this frame

Enabling 'Config->Input->Internals->Ignore all input timecodes' also doesn't help.
Sync issues start with 26683 when using:
# Imports
import vapoursynth as vs
# getting Vapoursynth core
core = vs.core
# Loading Plugins

Yup the whole subtitle file seems strange,...
Something like:
Dialogue: 0,0:14:25.40,0:14:25.44,fade-01,,0,0,0,,{\blur4.5\fs37.5\fscx125\fscy176\frx358\fry0\frz359.51\c&H000000&\pos(694.5,877.35)}A crisis threatening human extinction.
Dialogue: 0,0:14:25.40,0:14:25.44,fade-01,,0,0,0,,{\blur4.5\fs37.5\fscx125\fscy176\frx358\fry0\frz359.51\c&H000000&\pos(694.5,877.35)}A crisis threatening human extinction.
Seems really strange to me. (Showing the same text over the same time twice.)

Or
Dialogue: 1,0:14:25.44,0:14:25.48,fade-01,,0,0,0,,{\blur1.5\fs37.5\fscx125\fscy176\frx358\fry0\frz359.5\c&HFFEEEE&\pos(694.5,886.905)\b1}A crisis threatening human extinction.
Dialogue: 0,0:14:25.44,0:14:25.48,fade-01,,0,0,0,,{\blur4.5\fs37.5\fscx125\fscy176\frx358\fry0\frz359.5\c&H000000&\pos(694.5,886.905)}A crisis threatening human extinction.
Dialogue: 0,0:14:25.44,0:14:25.48,fade-01,,0,0,0,,{\blur4.5\fs37.5\fscx125\fscy176\frx358\fry0\frz359.5\c&H000000&\pos(694.5,886.905)}A crisis threatening human extinction.
Showing the same text at the same time 3 times where one has a different color.

-> at least to me this doesn't make sense.

The subtitle extraction call in Hybrid uses:
"I:/Hybrid\64bit\mkvextract.exe" tracks "C:\Users\Selur\Desktop\One Punch Man S01E07.mkv" 2:"E:\Output\One Punch Man S01E07_id_2_lang_en_default.ass
seems simple enought and correct.

If it's worth mentioning, the subtitle file has a delay of 600ms I applied in MKVToolNix when I Muxed the subs with the BD source video & audio. They were coming in 600ms too early originally.

This actually reminds me that sometimes my encodes would fail in ways that don't outright break the encoding, but instead result in a file where the video/audio/sub streams gradually get out of sync as the video progresses. There could also be situations where all the resulting outputs are fine, but they'd get horribly out of sync in the late video upon trying to concatenate them into one file, although I figure that's not really your problem to care about because concatenation is done with an external program (MP4Box or MKVToolNix) after Hybrid output.

Yeah it feels like this is getting progressively more cursed the deeper we get into it...

My guess is that these subtitles either are totally broken or require some different subtitle filters.
Seems like MPC-HC properly handles those subtitles, but SubText can't.
-> I'll do some testing with other filters.

Ya know I could find another file not related to this one that I know also throws the same "Helper1, exitCode: -1073741819" when embedding into frame, from totally different subtitlers and such. Maybe a few different samples would help? I just know that this has been a common issue especially with subbed anime.

Okay.
First let me see wether AssRender, VSFilter, VsFilterMod or xy-VSFilter will handle these subtitles better.
