Does the Fedora install work?

Never tried it, but the AppImage (latest dev) should work.

Depending on your setup, you might have to set

[General]
vsPluginsPath=<PATH to the Vapoursynth plugins>
vsScriptPath=<PATH to Hybrids Vapoursynth scripts>
enableVapoursynth=True

inside a misc.ini file.
If you start Hybrid from a terminal, it should report where it looks for Vapoursynth and whether it enabled or disabled Vapoursynth support.
