Ok, got it. From some point of view it is more accurate arranegement, but same time it may produce confusion if someone in future decide to update .dylibs without knowing that they require customized paths.
So seems .dylib structure was adjusted in same way in new Hybrid version:
libboost_filesystem.dylib and libboost_system.dylib now located only in "Frameworks" folder
libfreetype.6.dylib, libpng16.16.dylib, libx265.195.dylib moved to "lib" folder
libz.1.dylib and libbz2.1.0.dylib no more used at all?
Will xvid_encraw work with legacy Hybrid UI versions?

Probably it will not because there is no xvid_encraw in Config-Tools in legacy versions of Hybrid UI.

No, old Hybrid will not use or look for xvid_encraw.
Hybrid atm. can use mencoder or xvid_encraw for XviD encoding. Since it seems like there is no one building current mplayer&mencoder builds I plan to remove mplayer&mencoder in the long run. ffmpeg isn't an option since it's missing some xvid options.

didn't see anything that seemded to rely on them anymore.
-> let me know if something doesn't work

Hi,
I've installed last version of Hybrid (2020.10.8) but I got
No sox binary found -> disabling audio support,...
in Base Window.
Sox is in /Applications/Hybrid.app/Contents/MacOS and works in Terminal. Setting it in config -> Defaults did nothing after restart.

@houdini: wild guess: check the rights of of the sox binary (ls -la /Applications/Hybrid.app/Contents/MacOS/sox)

did you save that change ?

I just re-download and re-install Hybrid and there is no any error or mistake with sox. It have permissions 755 same as all other binary files. I fixed permissions manually for each package release just to make sure things are ok.
Try to delete folder ~/Library/Application Support/Hybrid as it was described in FAQ and see if it helps.

I finally fix this issue by downloading sox from Sourceforge and replacing it in /Applications/Hybrid.app/Contents/MacOS!

Ok there IS a problem. Have no idea why but audio seems really disappears same as in earlier versions.
I can also confirm that sox-14.4.2 downloaded from
https://sourceforge.net/projects/sox/postdownload fix this problem

Does this also happen with the 2020.10.10.1 I linked on the download page for you?
(works in my VMs)

Seems no problem in 2020.10.10.1
But Hybrid UI 2020.09.15 with sox taken from 2020.10.10.1 can't start few times after second restart, and next time when it starts well audio menu just disappears forever.
No problem with Hybrid UI 2020.09.15 with components taken from 2020.10.10.1 and with sox-14.4.2 taken from sourceforge.

Since I can't reproduce this here what do you see using one of the versions that don't work if you start that version using './Hybrid --debug' ?
(this should output some more content in the terminal)
@houdini: does 2020.10.10.1 also work fine for you?
