error helper 1

Thanks for the great software
I keep getting the Helper1 exit code 1313558101 error.

I imported a file captured with virtualdub lagrith codec.

First it would not encode said 'Aborting due to error Color matrix coefficients parameter: not given in the form (argument was 0:-1) then it did and gave the same error at the end of encoding 😭 it took 30 minutes to encode.

I have not checked anything to do with color matrix, hybrid is choosing color matrix automatically
Hybrid media info side panel shows.

Format Lagrith
Scan type progressive
Bitrate 38584
Resolution 720x576
PAR 1
Frame rate 25CFR
Frame count 6991
Stretch?
Color YUV/4:2:2/8/TV

Could it be an error or bug in software never happened in the old version, please look into this. Please, read the 'Infos needed to fix&reproduce bugs,..'-sticky before you post about a problem. Please, read the 'Infos needed to fix&reproduce bugs,..'-sticky before you post about a problem.

read the sticky, and provide a debug output,...

Thanks for your help on the VideoHelp forum. Decided to just spend the money to upgrade my hardware over the next week.

That being said, I am encoding some videos for someone and several times today I have gotten the "helper1, exitcode: -1073741819" while only completing 1 encode. Using the 2024.06.16 version of Hyrbid.

Video gets around 25% complete then crashes. Log and script attached.

ARGH,... that debug output contains different sources and from the looks of it you did tons of stuff after the crash. Sad
Also, it does not contain the analysis of the source.
Random crashes in the middle of an encode:
2024.07.31 - 21:53:35_Windows 10 Version 22H2 (64bit)_2024.06.16.1 - level 9: x264 output: 4169 frames: 4.59 fps, 5167.74 kb/s

2024.07.31 - 21:53:38_Windows 10 Version 22H2 (64bit)_2024.06.16.1 - level 9: x264 output: 4171 frames: 4.58 fps, 5168.51 kb/s
2024.07.31 - 21:53:39_Windows 10 Version 22H2 (64bit)_2024.06.16.1 - level 9: 2024-07-31@21_29_13_1010_06_video ### C:\Users\Computer\Videos\RJ videos\Forum\(2003) Video Gangs.mp4 ### Helper(1) finished with exitCode: -1073741819 and exitStatus: 1
Usually indicate to some system instability or a buggy source (or hdd).
So:
a. make sure your system (cpu, gpu, ram) are not overclocked
b. use dedicated temp folder for Hybrid and exculde it from virus scans
c. keep an eye on your temperatures&co

I have doe a clean up
I have usdd the same antivirus and hybrid was working fine before
It is hot these days but this error came after I went and chose the TIVTC plug-in because my videos were progressive. Files that were working before are giving error after I selected TIVTC before that it was ok.
I'm encoding again let's see if I get an error now

I got this error again today on a file that was encoding before.
The error I get at the end of the encoding is

Muxing crashed: color matrix coefficients parameter: not given in form :n (argument was 0:-1
This only started happening when I chose the TIVTC (Avisynth filter)

I am using hybrid version
Hybrid 2024.06.16.1

Debug output?!?
You can also try the lastest dev version (it's inside the exprimental-folder in my GoogleDriver share)

What is the proper procedure to follow once a crash occurs?

Also, I verified I am not overclocked though my base speed was nearly topped out and my CPU usuage was nearly 100% with VSPipe and the GUI running. Temps are good, system is not hot. Also cannot exempt folders from scan in the latest mcafee install. Still crashing. Just erased everything and reinstalled Hyrbid with torch to test again.

Quote:What is the proper procedure to follow once a crash occurs?
  • check if you need anything from the temp folder
  • clear temp folder
  • restart Hybrid
  • follow steps to create debug output
  • reproduce the problem
  • create new thread in the forum (assuming there is none so far) about the problem, describe what you are doing and share the debug output

Quote: Also cannot exempt folders from scan in the latest mcafee install.
Then, if it crashes again, try whether you can reproduce the problem if mcafee is deactivated (better deinstalled).

Great, thank you. For now, it seems to work with avc encoder level high/4.2. I was previously running high/5.1. CPU usage is down too. Maybe that was it? Not sure why I can't maintain an encode at 5.1.

"Muxing crashed: color matrix coefficients parameter: not given in form :n (argument was 0:-1"

I have the same error. If you have, "FFmpeg instead of MP4Box" enabled, you are using Matroska for muxing.
Change the setting: Config, MKV tagging, VUI, Then tick, Matrix.
Then reload your videos, and retry.
This worked for me.
