[HELP] how to encode AVS2 to H265 video?
#21
It should do the same the dev version I gave you to test did.
So it should be able to handle those files when using Bestsource in Vapoursynth and the library can decode them.
----
Dev versions are in the 'experimental'-folder of my GoogleDrive, which is linked on the download page.

you mean replace the file BestSource.dll to the most new version, it could encode both AVS2 AVS3 to H265 successfully?

The latest dev should already come with the latest BestSource.
But in general: Yes, by replacing the BestSource library with the latest Hybrid should be able to decode (avs2/avs3) and then encode (to any format Hybrid supports) your files.
If davs2 or libuavs3d can't decode the files neither can BestSource.

Quote:Hybrid.exe – System Error
Because icu.DLL was not found, the code execution cannot continue. Reinstalling the program may fix this problem.
That is strange, the installer should come and install the icuuc.dll (International Components for Unicode dynamic link library)
I just tested (on Win11) with Hybrid_dev_2025.11.22-114349 and the icuuc.dll is present in the Hybrid folder and I can start Hybrid without a problem.
Also tried on Windows 10 and there too, the Hybrid/icuuc.dll is present and Hybrid starts without a problem.
=> seems this is related to your specific Windows 10 setup and not a general problem with Hybrid on Windows.

Could it be some over active virus scanner during install stops the installer from creating the dll on your system. => Is that dll present in your Hybrid folder?
In case the dll is present, try adding an exemption for the Hybrid-folder to your virus scanner in case it interferes when Hybrid tries to access the file.

i don't have any antivirus or virus scanned program on my computer, including disabled windows defender totally. i'm using win10 x64 v1809. Overwrite installations used to work fine. I don't know what went wrong this time.

i scanned icu.dll, only one existed, but it's in a proxy utility program, not hybrid.

what should i do now? uninstall Hybrid, then install the dev version?

or just you send me the icu.dll?

Yes.
Dev version comes with a newer Qt version, without uninstalling files get Mixed.

There should be no icu.dll, only a icuuc.dll.
After uninstalling, make sure the old Hybrid folder is gone.
The Hybrid folder, after installation should contain these files:
Verzeichnis von C:\Program Files\Hybrid 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> . 27.11.2025 05:27 <DIR> .. 27.11.2025 05:27 <DIR> 32bit 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> 64bit 13.11.2025 23:37 13.922.528 avcodec-61.dll 13.11.2025 23:37 2.643.168 avformat-61.dll 13.11.2025 23:37 1.199.328 avutil-59.dll 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> CustomSynthScripts 22.11.2025 11:28 29.949.440 Hybrid.exe 23.11.2024 10:49 36.864 icuuc.dll 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> License files 25.10.2023 22:16 573.008 msvcp140.dll 17.03.2020 17:41 31.728 msvcp140_1.dll 17.03.2020 17:41 192.800 msvcp140_2.dll 17.03.2020 17:41 27.424 msvcp140_codecvt_ids.dll 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> platforms 13.11.2025 11:39 10.098.912 Qt6Core.dll 13.11.2025 11:40 9.521.376 Qt6Gui.dll 13.11.2025 23:36 1.236.704 Qt6Multimedia.dll 13.11.2025 11:40 1.763.552 Qt6Network.dll 13.11.2025 18:28 628.448 Qt6Svg.dll 13.11.2025 11:41 6.572.768 Qt6Widgets.dll 13.11.2025 11:42 160.992 Qt6Xml.dll 27.11.2025 05:29 <DIR> styles 13.11.2025 23:37 248.032 swresample-5.dll 13.11.2025 23:37 752.864 swscale-8.dll 27.11.2025 05:29 963.095 unins000.dat 27.11.2025 05:27 3.884.243 unins000.exe 25.10.2023 22:16 119.376 vcruntime140.dll 25.10.2023 22:16 49.776 vcruntime140_1.dll
There should be no icu.dll.
