The error happens if Hybrid can't access the named pip 5 seconds after its creation.

Hmm,... (I did change a lot the last few days, but only in the Avisynth sections of Hybrid,.. iirc.)
Did some small tests, but couldn't reproduce the problem so far.
A. Try whether it helps to use a temp folder to a dedicated folder outside AppData. (maybe Windows Defender or some other virus scanner is causing issues)
B. Does the Vapoursynth Preview work fine?
C. Does it also happen with Hybrid_dev_2026.08.19-185814.exe ?
D. Does it also happen with other source files?
(Do you know which version you used before? Mainly asking to know whether this is really an issue with the named pipe usage, which isn't that old. It was added around 2026-07-11.)
Will look at it some more after work.
