SVT-AV1 encoding options - CRF is not passed to encoder
#1
Bug
Hi,

Im using the the AppImage version of the Hybrid under Linux. I have check the CRF checkbox, but when the encoding starts I see in
report file that it accually uses CQP not CRF mode. Debug log sent via PM.

Also I think there is another bug related to debug log file. The file is not created in output directory. I had to set static path for it
in options.

Thanks

Nothing I can do about it either.
You will have to try later.
Haven't seen or found any documentation about the quota thing on GoogleDrive or how to influence monitor it.

According to Gemini:
"You can bypass the Google Drive download quota limit by making a copy or creating a shortcut of the file into your own Google Drive and downloading that copy instead"
no clue whether that works.

Same here, looks like this info is not published intentionally.

I have managed to download the dev version but it does not start:

I adjusted the package script to add the wayland versions from the build system, but only load them as a fallback. My guess is that you are running a newer version of wayland and the one is interferring with the packaged version.
=> uploaded a new dev, let me know whether that one works for you

I was lucky enough to not get caught again in the download limit. The new dev version starts without problems and it looks like the bug is fixed.
However I have noticed that there is something wrong in the report file. The rate factor, and max bitrate are switched in the output values.

SVT [config]: BRC mode / rate factor / max bitrate (kbps) : capped CRF / 6000 / 44.00

Thanks again

That is something that comes directly from svt-av1 and isn't changed by Hybrid.
=> you'll have to report that to the devlopers of svt-av1
