Quote:Any ideas or suggestions about all this? Maybe turn something in preferences or rename something in script files?
Without a debug output: not from me, aside from "make sure your input and output folder have only ASCII symbols in them".
Ok, log report PM'ed (FFmpeg instead of MP4Box MP4 file disappears)
Last call used it:
Code:
"/Applications/Hybrid.app/Contents/MacOS/ffmpeg" -y -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/01_05_17_5910_06.264" -vtag avc1 -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/test clip copy-hybrid_01_05_17_5910__10.chp" -map_chapters 1 -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/iId_1_aid_0_lang_zh_ms_01_05_17_5910_02.aac" -absf aac_adtstoasc -vcodec copy -acodec copy -aspect 133333:100000 -metadata handler_name="Hybrid 2018.08.05.1" -r 59.940 "/Users/shph/Desktop/test clip copy-hybrid.mp4"
which aborts (error output is not visible with debug level 4)
Problem is, that in that version of Hybrid, Hybrid doesn't check that the output wasn't created and then deletes the temp files.
from the looks of it all the inputs got created before the muxing:
Code:
created /Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/iId_1_aid_0_lang_zh_DELAY_-25ms_01_05_17_5910_01.ac3 (1.19165 MB)
created /Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/iId_1_aid_0_lang_zh_DELAY_-25ms_01_05_17_5910_02.aac (1.51017 MB)
created /Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/01_05_17_5910_06.264 (32.2621 MB)
finished createJob (/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/test clip copy-hybrid_01_05_17_5910__10.chp)
so no clue why ffmpeg fails during the creation.
-> sharing a debug output level 9 hopefully show the error message
Cu Selur
Got the debug output level 9 and it showed this:
Code:
"/Applications/Hybrid.app/Contents/MacOS/ffmpeg" -y -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/13_32_28_3610_05.264" -vtag avc1 -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/test clip-hybrid_13_32_28_3610__08.chp" -map_chapters 1 -i "/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/iId_1_aid_0_lang_zh_ms_13_32_28_3610_02.aac" -absf aac_adtstoasc -vcodec copy -acodec copy -aspect 133333:100000 -metadata handler_name="Hybrid 2018.08.05.1" -r 29.97 "/Users/shph/Desktop/test clip-hybrid.mp4"

/Volumes/temp/Hybrid Temp/test clip-hybrid_13_32_28_3610__08.chp: Invalid data found when processing input
so the problem is the chapter file.
According to the debug output the content of the chapter file is:
Code:
;FFMETADATA1
[CHAPTER]
TIMEBASE=1/1000
START=0
END=51000
title=Chapter 04
which seems to be fine (comparing it to
https://ffmpeg.org/ffmpeg-formats.html#Metadata-1)
I think the problem is thatx264 reported that the output of the video only contains 'encoded 1558 frames' but the chapter file references frame 51000.
-> you will have to either modify the chapter info or disable the chapter creation.
Cu Selur
Ok, "Input Chapters on Input Change" was unchecked and disabled - no problem now!
In addition problem probably also was caused by incorrect test source file itself. I use "worst case scenario" MKV/VOB test sample shared on this forum (trimmed DVD/VOB remuxed to MKV without recompression usually produce strange problems due metadata mismatch).
I will add this useful bugfix to package FAQ. Thanks for your support Selur.
Ok, here is what we have for today:
VapourSynth + Plugins + Scripts + Hybrid package update 2020.08.16
Changes:
- VapourSynth-R51
- Updated QTGMC and other scripts for Hybrid 2020_07_11 (Inside Hybrid.app)
- Replaced "neo_fft3d.FFT3D" with "fft3dfilter.FFT3DFilter" in "havsfunc.py" script to make it compatible with legacy fft3dfilter and macOS Mojave.
(New QTGMC scripts provide a lot of bugfixes but use neo_fft3d plug-in instead of legacy fft3dfilter for "Very Slow" and "Placebo" QTGMC deinterlace settings. Currently i avoid neo_fft3d because it works only on macOS Catalina and also seems not stable yet on macOS)
- MKVToolNix 49.0.0 (Inside Hybrid.app)
- lsdvd-0.17 (Inside Hybrid.app updated to x64 version for compatibility with macOS 10.15 Catalina and higher)
- SoX 14.4.2 (Inside Hybrid.app updated to x64 version for compatibility with macOS 10.15 Catalina and higher)
- Updated FAQ.

THIS IS A RECOMMENDED UPDATE! Make sure you COMPLETELY UNINSTALL OLD VERSION before install this new version.
Recently upgraded to hybrid 8.16 vs r51 qtgmc custom setting does not work.
There are three variables i was playing with to try and get a lossless encode to run via topaz ai.
I have lossless and source matching on both with the highest setting after temporal smoothing and 2xredefined, then i tried changing just the source matching down one setting, and then down another setting, and then off. Then i lowered the lossless down a setting and then off. I also lowered temporal smoothing to from 1 to 0. I tried Above settings when encode it to prorez for lossless it failed. I also tried to Encode x264 Rate 1 for lossless then 16, then 17 all Failed..
I then tried stanard placebo x264 rate 17 my goto, and it failed as well.
The source was a interlaced 29.97 variable fps file Ripped from An old tape recording .
Going to try my standard interlaced dvd hopefully i can do my standard encoding which is qtgmc bob even x264 Rate 17.
Shijan do you happen to have the r50 complete install kmage with all the old stuff pre lsdvd and sox? And neofft3d and all those updates i just want to get back to my previous working build which I completely deleted.
Update
Ok when i do my usual thing which is to make individual tracks into mkvs via make mkv and run it qtgmc placebo x264 rate 17 it works as usual so far 17% into encode.
Could just be the file being variable frame rate and maybe it was tagged as progressive despite being 29.97 and hybrid recognizing it at bottom field first.
It was recorded off of tv or a vhs. So that may have something to do with it. May have others on video help analyze it for what i should do to process it before i try and give it to topaz (when i eventually buy it) unles we can add vsgan to hybrid in the distant future which i heard is also a great ai.
From my observation most problems caused by corrupted source files. Incorrerctly extracted VOB files, incorrectly trimmed/remuxed DV files, some portions of timecode or chapters in MKV files, some strange hidden audio tracks with random sample rate...
So if something don't works - first of all try if it works with another source file.
Also old Hybrid is rather buggy compare to upcoming 2020 version. VapourSynth and plug-ins where changed a lot from 2017 and so many options may not work as expected.
I can only recommend use legacy Hybrid with basic presets with trusted video sources and render to ProRes MOV or x264 MKV
I guess if next week Selur will add few more small bugfixes to Hybrid 2020 it may be usable ...
Placebo and Very slow presets are strange. They use some additional plug-ins and may cause problems.
I put MVTools v21 to last package because seems it works well. But you can try to download MVTools v20 here
https://www.mediafire.com/folder/wvdlnja...vg8my3xf71 and see it it make changes for you. MVTools v22 and 23 produce error with Placebo and Very Slow presets (render starts but after some time it stop with error)
Check out the movie
It’s only 120 megs
I took a screen grab of the link and admin code
See if you get errors too if you have time. No rush. Havent bought topaz yet.
